If you know anything about our recent house hunt, you are probably as glad as we are that it's finally done! It was a long, and sometimes confusing road, but God knew all along that THIS was in store for us. We are so, so thankful for His providence, and ask that you pray for us as we work our way to our March 31st closing (our inspection is Wednesday, if you'd like to send up any prayers right away...).
If you know anything about us, than you also know that this 4 bedroom, "fixer-upper", on a very-flat-for-Pennsylvania, wooded, acre lot is PERFECT for us.

It IS perfect for your family, and we can't wait to see the changes that will come, before you're even in it. The neighbors are going to be thrilled as they watch you guys love on this house and make it come back to life. A great, great place to raise a family and yes, we're willing to be your slaves for awhile, getting it in shape.

Oh it is beautiful! What a home, and what a lot- wow! Your mom has been so sweet to pray for my family as we are trying to sell / buy, and had mentioned you going through the same (often frustrating) process, so I have been praying for you.
So glad for you and your family- looks like the perfect home to raise a family. (And fixing up is always half the fun... although my husband may not agree with me!)
Congratulations!

I love it, Les. It's as charming as it can be and I see you and your sweet family being very happy there. Congratulations - I'll bet you are counting the hours until you can move in. I truly love it. It's my favorite kind of house, especially the back of it.
xoxo

Les and Jer, and Landon,
Before I could leave a note, went back and looked at your house again, and yep, High ceilings. Christmas trees as tall as you ever wanted one. And green! I see green everywhere, on the yard, in the trees. Must be some place there, for a swing for Landon.
I am so thrilled for you. Besides the usual tax breaks from buying a house, there may be a another money break for you, that's part of the Stimulus Package.
Your Mom and Dad now have a great project to keep them busy til they leave PA, and I have some white sheers that might fit some of those windows, if they're the right size. Could ship them to you.
Congratulations again.

Hoping over to say hi from your mom's blog, Leslie. Congratulations! It's so gorgeous. They don't have houses out here like that. They.just.don't.
Enjoy!

Um, that's "hopping", not "hoping". Dear Lord, I can at least spell "hopping" correctly.

Um... I just stumbled on your blog and I think you might want to click on your Swank Mom button. You have a very sweet family blog and I think something has gotten messed up there...

Being in the Las Vegas area right now and seeing things that are green is real nice. It is still all brown out here. Even when spring comes here it is still brown in most of the area. I am happy for you and your family. I know Don will be lots of help with his vast knowledge of how to get things done. Good luck and have fun.
