A milestone has been achieved.
Our sweet baby slept OVER 12 HOURS last night!!
He'd been at about ten or eleven hours for several weeks, so we decided to scoot his bedtime back a little bit, and he slept like a champ! Mamaw says that he gets that trait from his daddy. Three cheers for the "sleepy gene"!!
Now if he can only keep that up while we're visiting Mamaw next week... :)

That is awesome!!! I know it must feel good for you to get lots of extra rest. Once Karoline started sleeping that long she has not had many nights where it has been shorter than 12 hours. She goes to bed at 8 and we will not get her out of her room until 8AM. If she wakes up early she just plays with her bunny in her crib. But most days she gets up at 8:30. Happy Sleeping to all!!

Isnt it amazing that they're so busy growing they need to sleep half the time! Hopefully the change in schedule will help you get more time to yourself and some things done in the evening. I woke up this morning thinking, only a few more days til the kids arrive, and spent the evening wrapping your gifts. We cant wait to have you all here. xoxoxo

Both of you look wonderful, Les. And 12 hours! Party time! No wonder you have that big beautiful smile on your face. xoxoxo

seriously experiencing ENVY!!!
my son is 5 and has NEVER slept for 12 hours straight EVER!!!!
I can't even imagine...
I blame myself. I must have done something wrong! Or maybe he just doesn't need that much sleep.
I know I have done a lot wrong though - like letting him crawl into our bed with us halfway through the night. But PLEASE you must understand. I am desperate for sleep. And if he comes into our room he sleeps an hour longer in the morning. If he sleeps through in his room, he always wakes up too early and we are both grumpy for the day.
I figure he will ONE day grow out of sleeping with us...
Yes all the baby-wise mommies are shuddering in horror!
